Segment
Send your Segment events to Kubit by configuring a Snowflake destination that targets a Kubit Snowflake account.
Snowflake destination steps
Kubit provides the Snowflake credentials for the destination.
Follow Segment's Connect Snowflake to Segment steps to add the destination.
Segment begins syncing the last 30 days of data for each shared table.
The initial sync can take up to 48 hours after you configure the destination. On the business tier you can also configure the sync schedule.
Historical data
To bring in data older than the initial sync window, use Segment's Replay feature.
A note on table volume
Segment tends to create one table per event type, which can result in hundreds of event tables. Two ways to keep this manageable:
Share only the tables for the events you actually need for analytics.
Share the aggregate event tables, SCREENS, PAGES, and TRACKS, instead of the individual ones.
